Greenpave

Citywide Greenpave is a climate sensitive alternative to traditional hot mix asphalt. Produced in partnership with Shell, Greenpave responds directly to the huge groundswell of community and government concerns over climate change. The advanced production process makes asphalt with properties equal to traditional mixes while offering significant add-on benefits.

High Performance

While the conventional hot mix asphalt process uses one grade of bitumen at approximately 170 degrees celcius, Citywide Greenpave uses two binders at significantly lower temperatures (around 110 degrees celcius).

Citywide Greenpave offers substantial environmental benefits:

• Over 30% reduction in fume emissions during production
• Over 30% reduction in greenhouse gases
• Up to 55% reduction in fine dust
