Central to Citywide’s continuous improvement program is our training and education. Working with Citywide gives you access to a range of training and development opportunities. Employees participate in a broad range of external and in-house training in the areas of Compliance, Safety, Skills and Development. In addition we have longer Nationally Accredited Apprenticeships and Traineeships. 

Our Accredited training courses include:

  • Diploma to Certificate II level across the Horticulture discipline
  • Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology
  • Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical/Electronic Trade
  • Diploma of Management
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management

Job specific training at Citywide covers a range of industries and courses, including:

  • Chain Saw Operation
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Worksite Traffic Management
  • Tree Identification
  • Underground Asset Identification
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Various types of Communication Skills (Report Writing, Public Speaking & Dealing with Difficult People)
  • Supervisor/Manager Skills (Assertiveness Techniques, Manage People Performance, and more)
  • Plant Operator (Excavator, Back Hoe, Front End Loader, Fork Lift, and more)
  • IT Specialist training (Adobe, CRM, Microsoft Configuring & Administration, and more)

Each year, a variety of general Training is delivered to the business in-house. This includes:

  • SunSmart, Manual Handling, Driver Awareness, Sharps Handling, Spill Management, Drugs and Alcohol and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) training.
