Citywide Service Solutions Pty Ltd has purchased New South Wales-based open space services company Sterling Group Services Pty Ltd.
Citywide Managing Director, Kerry Osborne, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition of the Sterling business which provides open space services to organisations across Sydney and New South Wales’ Central Coast.
“Sterling is an excellent fit with Citywide’s growth strategy. We are delighted to be acquiring a business with such a solid reputation, industry knowledge and an established brand throughout Sydney. Sterling’s commitment to staff development, training, customer service and safety aligns closely with ours, and we have been very impressed with the expertise of their staff,” Mr Osborne said.
Established in 1975, Sterling has grown to provide employment to 80 skilled staff and services more than 130 clients across education, retail, health and various commercial sectors. Notable clients include the University of Western Sydney and Gosford Council.
The acquisition complements Citywide’s existing New South Wales open space operations, providing Citywide with exposure to new growth opportunities in the highly competitive New South Wales open space market.
“We are investing heavily in New South Wales and our existing capabilities will be significantly enhanced with the addition of Sterling. It is Citywide’s goal to continue building the Sterling business. Sterling employees have been fundamental to the growth of the business, and Citywide looks forward to their ongoing commitment and contribution into the future,” added Mr. Osborne.
Sterling owner Mr. Wayne Shelton said he saw the acquisition as a positive step which will strengthen the business.
“This signals a new era for Sterling, as we join a secure national organisation with similar values and an ethos of customer commitment. I am confident that together we can make a much bigger impact to the New South Wales market,” Mr Shelton said.
“Wayne will continue to lead the Sterling business as Chief Executive Officer – Sterling Group, to grow Sterling into new markets and opportunities. His professionalism and commitment to the organisation will assist Sterling to make a smooth transition to the Citywide group over the coming months,” Mr. Osborne said. Click here to visit Sterling.
