National Arboriculture Conference 2013

by Citywide Open Space | 03.05.2013
12 Citywide delegates attended this year's National Arboriculture Conference at Melbourne's Hilton Hotel.

Melbourne’s MCG has traditionally been known as the sporting homeland of football and cricket. Over the course of the last week however, the parks surrounding the MCG became the home of Australia’s Tree Climbing champions.

Proudly supported by Citywide, the National Tree Climbing Championships saw climbing men and women from all around Australia compete in a number of different events, including the Master’s Challenge, speed climbing and time trials.

The event ran in conjunction with Arboriculture Australia’s National Conference, heralded as the largest forest and utility vegetation management conference in the Asia Pacific region.

International and Australian presenters conveyed the latest industry information to delegates from a variety of different fields around Australia.

As a major sponsor of Arboriculture Australia, Citywide displayed a strong presence at the conference by occupying a trade stand in premium position. Delegates from around Australia and the world dropped by to trade expert-opinions and gain information on the services that Citywide offers.

Citywide showcased the depth and skill of our Arborists and the scope of our projects in a trade display alongside other industry giants.

Citywide Divisional Manager for Open Space Dean Grant said the partnership with Arboriculture Australia is a mutually beneficial one.

“The conference provided the perfect platform to engage with other industry leaders and share knowledge, skills and experiences,” said Dean.

“Citywide had a very strong presence there and it was a pleasure to be a part of the conference again. I look forward to next year”.

Arboriculture Australia Chairperson Doug Sharp acknowledges the depth of support Citywide gave to ensure the conference went off without a hitch.

“We would like to thank Citywide for the wonderful support they have provided Arboriculture Australia. Without sponsor support this event would not have been possible” Doug concluded.
