Citywide spreads Christmas cheer to families

by Citywide | 18.12.2014
Citywide has embraced the spirit of Christmas and generously donated thousands of dollars to support community initiatives around the state.

From Christmas Carol festivities to a food drive to help those most in need, Citywide didn’t hesitate to bring Christmas cheer to local communities.

Since 2012 Citywide has supported Manningham City Council’s Carols by Candlelight. As a gold sponsor of the event, Citywide has proudly donated $5000 to show their dedication to the local community each year.

Thousands of people flocked to Ruffey Lake Park to take advantage of the free family event and soak up the warm weather. The Citywide team set-up fun activities for children, which included Christmas badge making and colouring in stations.

Citywide was also a proud sponsor of this year’s Bayside Christmas Carols in the Park and supported the annual event by donating $5000.

The family friendly event is a permanent fixture on Bayside’s Community Festival calendar, which features traditional carols, local performers and a spectacular fireworks display.

For the eighth year running, Citywide has also supported the Uniting Care Helping Hand Foundation food drive. Almost three million Australians currently live below the poverty line, and the Foundation work tirelessly to provide assistance to people in times of hardship.

Across Victoria, Citywide teams have donated items such as non-perishable food and toiletries and aim to have enough supplies to fill a Citywide ute and deliver the items in time for Christmas.

As a company that is committed to enriching the lives of the communities it serves, Citywide is honoured to make the experience of Christmas a bit easier for those in need, and to help celebrate the spirit of giving and compassion.
