Public announcement: Southbank pedestrian bridge will be closed for repair works

by Citywide | 01.06.2015
Citywide has been engaged by the City of Melbourne to undertake repairs on the Southbank pedestrian bridge. We are planning to commence the works on 1 June, which will result in full bridge closure for approximately two weeks.

Here are the details as published on the City of Melbourne website:

Southbank pedestrian bridge closed for repair works

1-15 June 2015 (weather permitting)

The City of Melbourne is replacing the existing timber deck and supporting joists with a more durable, slip resistant finish which will also reduce maintenance costs.

Businesses in Southbank are open as usual during these works.

Pedestrians may use Sandridge Bridge to the west or Princes Bridge to the east as an alternative route.

Should you have any questions about the works please contact Jonathon Harris at Citywide on 9267 5113.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
