Citywide gains more than 45 years of expertise in corporate management and governance.
Citywide today announced the appointment of directors Peter Lamell and Paul Hardy to its board, bringing with them more than 45 years combined expertise in corporate management and governance.
The two new board members will replace outgoing director Peter Lowe, who will finish his services to the board at the AGM later this year after a nine-year contribution, and former Chairman Mark Birrell, who stepped down in February this year.
Paul Hardy (pictured left) has held senior leadership positions at the international level and brings to the Citywide board a proven ability to drive and execute strategy and produce strong financial results. He holds non-executive director roles on a number of boards.
Peter Lamell has held senior management roles for companies in the oil and gas, resources, infrastructure and telecommunications sectors, where he has a strong record of business growth. He has sat on over 25 boards across diverse sectors.
Citywide Chairman, John Brumby said Mr Lamell and Mr Hardy would add a valuable set of skills to the existing expertise of the Citywide board as the company continues to provide its leading services in open space, environment and infrastructure across the eastern seaboard.
“Citywide welcomes Paul Hardy and Peter Lamell, who will bring critical experience and knowledge to further build a company that is financially sustainable and delivers the best possible outcomes to our customers, shareholder, employees, suppliers, the community and the environment,” said Mr Brumby.
“As a board, we are continually looking to invest in and investigate new ways to do what we do better,” he added. “We have an experienced board with a diverse range of skills and expertise that will be further enhanced by the fresh perspectives brought by new members to our team.”
Incoming director Mr Lamell (pictured left) said he was looking forward to joining the Citywide team and contributing his industry experience to the company’s future plans.
“Having worked in the industry for many years I have a very high regard for Citywide, its people and its capabilities,” Mr Lamell said. “I’m particularly looking forward to working with such a high caliber board to make Citywide an even greater success in the future.”
Mr Hardy echoed Mr Lamell’s sentiments, saying he looks forward to making a valuable contribution to the organisation by assisting the board and management team in strategy, governance and performance.
“I’m excited to combine my international business background, track record for growth, emphasis on safety and culture , and large organisational experience with Citywide to realise the many opportunities that the organisation is poised to grasp.”
Mr Hardy and Mr Lamell officially begin their role as non-executive directors of the Citywide Board on 1 July 2015.
