Melton Recreation Reserve was alive and buzzing on Saturday 7th November with the annual Djerriwarrh Festival. Citywide was delighted to participate in the festival as a community sponsor.
While the weather was certainly temperamental in the lead-up to the event, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day attracting record crowds of approximately 40,000 people.
Every family who stopped by the Citywide stall received complimentary native trees and shrubs for their gardens. Our tree experts carefully selected plant species that are indigenous to the Melton area to support the local environment and native flora and fauna.
The Citywide festival crew had a great time sharing their knowledge and expert tips on summer garden care and tree planting. As Citywide’s tree planting expert Rod Fraser said, “I really enjoyed being involved in the event and am proud of the great response we received on the day.”
